In the weeks since Resurrection has been available for preorder, I’ve had people ask me the same handful of questions, so I figured it was a good idea to get it all written out for you here! Here are the top FAQs all around ordering Resurrection and helping an indie writer out!
Where can I get it?
Currently, Resurrection is available for pre-order on four separate online platforms:
For Amazon, B&N, and Bookshop.org, you can get the book by just clicking on the links above! For AER.IO, you can ONLY access that purchasing platform if you’re on my waiting list. AER.IO connects directly with the printer and is an outlet I use for sales because I can easily control discounts, promotion codes, and the like.
When will I get my book?
Since the book is print on demand, you can generally expect to get your copy anywhere from 5-15 days after you order (I know – hard in today’s two-day shipping world, huh?). Now, that’s for STANDARD ORDERS.
For PREORDERS, you might get it as early as the day it releases. According to my printer, preorders begin printing and shipping 10 days before the launch date, so in theory you could get your book on the day it goes live. This is MOST LIKELY if you order through Amazon, so if it’s important for you to get your book as soon as possible, this is the best bet.
Will it be available in local bookstores?
I’m currently working on getting this to happen! I’m reaching out to a few local, independent bookstores and Barnes & Noble to see if they are interested in carrying copies on their shelves! If you’re in the Reno, NV area, you will hopefully be able to walk into any of these stores in the next couple months and see Resurrection in stock!
If you DON’T live in the Reno area, you can always request your local bookstores order the book in for you. Any bookstore nationwide has the option to order print copies to stock, so you can still support your local bookstore AND your favorite indie authors simultaneously!
Where can I order to ensure YOU get the most money?
This question is a little harder to answer, because it honestly depends on what you’re looking for exactly.
If you want the most PROFIT to go to me directly, getting on my waiting list and ordering through AER.IO is the best way to do that. Because AER.IO is run through my printer directly, I get royalties both as the author AND the distributor, so I essentially make twice as much per purchase (of course, with the discounts I’m offering there, this is not always true).
As far as POTENTIAL PROFIT, the best place is Amazon. Amazon is the #1 bookseller in the WORLD, and the more purchases that go through Amazon, the more highly ranked my book becomes, and the more people Amazon puts it in front of, so the more people will buy it, ranking the book even higher and – well, you see the cycle. I am more likely to sell books on Amazon than every other platform combined, so this is the best place to go if you want to increase my visibility wide beyond yourself!
How ELSE can I help support you?
For indie authors, the single most important thing you can do to help us is share our work! If you love my book, please recommend it to people. Instead of letting them borrow a copy, ask them to buy it on Amazon. Encourage people to check it out!
Other than that, leave reviews! If you really enjoyed Resurrection, leaving great reviews is a phenomenal way to help me out and support me. Positive reviews are a huge help in getting the book in front of more people. Also, cross review! You can review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.org, as well as Goodreads, so that wherever people find the book, they see the great things you have to say about it.
Thank you for everything!
As an indie writer, nothing is more meaningful to me than the support of the people who are reading my work. Thank you so much for being interested in preordering, as well as wanting to help me in any way you can! My heart is full. ♥️
